  • 100 Days of EDC

Back in March I’ve thought of joining #The100DayProject. Again. I’ve come up with the idea, made a list of ideas. And I didn’t do it.

Then September rolled in and I thought – what if I take that idea and do it for 100 days before January 1, 2027. Well… I started, but dropped out before October started.

Well… I am attempting again. Today is November 1. My goal is to have 100 drawings by 01.01.2027.

I know myself – some days will be probably will end up with not even touching my pencil or a brush (life will happen), and on some I will be finishing 5 drawings on the same night.

    My theme is:

Subject: El Dorado County, CA. Because this is where I live right now.

Materials: Square 4×4 watercolor paintings in watercolor. But who knows – maybe I will venture to the different material but will keep the same size.

Sub-goal: to have accountability and see project completion through – I will post and show results regularly (ideally would be every day, but… don’t think it’s realistic commitment).

    Wish me luck!

Here is the #001/100 that I’ve completed back in March, 2026:

  • Field Notes

In October I did embrace and continued using pocket size daily notebook for tracking, tasks, quotes, to-dos. So interesting that it’s so much easier and less pressure to keep a Field Notes notebook, use it, carry it around than a TN passport.
For some reason, a Travelers Notebook feels more precious and lux to be handling non stop. But maybe this will change as I am enjoying and really seeing use of this small format of notebook/journal for everyday activities.

  • Advent calendars for artists in 2026

I love advent calendars. The whole idea of having 12-24 days of “presents” and unexpected surprises is just so much fun!

These are 3 advent calendars for artists that are available in 2026 and I would love to have them all. As a present

    1. Diamine Inkvent Calendar 2026 – Burgundy Edition

Inkvent calendar is the most popular one – it’s been released since 2019 and this year contents include:
    24 x 12ml Diamine Fountain Pen Ink
    1 x 30ml Diamine Fountain Pen Ink
    1 x Swatch Card Set
    1 x Collectable Pin

    2. Colorverse 2026 Colorvent Calendar

The Colorverse Colorvent ink advent calendar is made by  Colorverse, a fountain pen ink brand based in South Korea. 24 days of surprise fountain pen inks in 15 ml signature teardrop/comet-shaped glass bottles.

Available in US at The Goulet Pen Company, Yoseka Stationery, and Vanness Pens

    3. The Creative Collection by Liqutex

This one popped up in my social media feed and I couldn’t skip clicking to see what it is. Spoilers on the website description list variety of paints, brushes, markers, and pencils.

Advent full of items from Liquitex (7 items), Winsor & Newton (8 items) and Conté à Paris (8 items)

These are all fun options to gift yourself (or to the artistic person you have in your life.

Now if I can imagine and wish – I would love to see what Hobonichi, Travelers Company and independent stationery retailers (JetPens, Yoseka Stationery, Atlas Stationers) would come up with if they were putting together their own advent calendars. Can you imagine all the fun notebooks, pens, stickers and clips?! Would be amazing to discover!
